On July 21, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin, who presented copies of his credentials.

Ahmet Gurbanov congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the responsible post and expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support in the implementation of his diplomatic activities.

During the conversations, the parties discussed in detail a range of issues on further strengthening Turkmen-Chinese relations. The diplomats noted that regular high-level meetings contribute to strengthening political dialogue.

As part of the intensification of trade and economic relations, the parties expressed interest in increasing cooperation in the energy sector.
