Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan Atadurdy Bayramov took part in the events held in Hiroshima on August 6 and in Nagasaki on August 9, which were dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of these cities.

The participants of the event were Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the leadership and deputies of parliament, representatives of international organizations, as well as heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Japan.

During the commemorative events, attention was paid to the issues of refusing to use nuclear weapons and ending international conflicts. The leadership of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki called on the heads of state to create security structures based on trusting relationships built through dialogue.

Following the events in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a peace declaration was adopted, which, among other things, calls on the Japanese government to sign and ratify the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and calls on world leaders to present a concrete roadmap for the elimination of nuclear weapons at the 2026 Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
