From August 4 to 8, 2025, the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries will be held in the National Tourist Zone "Avaza." The event provides an opportunity to seek innovative solutions and establish meaningful partnerships to unlock the potential of landlocked developing countries.

The conference is intended to serve as a platform for developing strategies to overcome transport and logistics barriers that hinder the full participation of landlocked countries in international trade and the global economy.

For landlocked developing countries, transport costs can account for up to 50% of export value. This creates serious obstacles to the economic development of these countries and calls for comprehensive solutions at the international level.

“The Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries is of great importance in overcoming the challenges these countries face in terms of economic development and international cooperation. The conference aims to develop new approaches and strategies to address these issues, as well as strengthen partnerships between countries to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals,” noted Amanveldi Khallyev, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Mechanics at the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S. Niyazov.
