Today, the Eid al-Fitr prayer was held in mosques in Ashgabat and across the country, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Hundreds of believers gathered for the morning prayer, following Islamic traditions, IIC writes.

Traditionally, this day is declared an official day off in Turkmenistan. The corresponding decree is signed annually by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This is the time when families gather together, set festive tables and show concern for those who need support.

Holiday prayers were also held in all mosques of the country.
