The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States of America has addressed its citizens with a reminder about the strict adherence to U.S. immigration laws and all applicable rules for staying in the country.

The diplomatic mission emphasized the importance of complying with the validity periods of visas and other residence permits, timely extension of documents, and obtaining work permits in accordance with U.S. immigration regulations.

The Embassy warned of the serious consequences of violating immigration laws, including fines, deportation with a subsequent ban on re-entry into the U.S., long-term ineligibility for visas, detentions, and other penalties by American immigration authorities.

At the same time, the diplomatic institution reminded Turkmen citizens of the importance of registering with the Embassy’s consular office. This procedure confirms lawful residence abroad, facilitates access to consular services, and ensures the possibility of receiving legal assistance in emergency situations.

The Embassy expressed gratitude to compatriots for their understanding and called for responsible compliance with all legal requirements to avoid problems and ensure timely access to consular services.
