On April 6, 2025, the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in which the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Chairperson of Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova took part. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen parliament.

During the Assembly, Gulmanova spoke on the agenda. She emphasized that Turkmenistan has received recognition of its permanent neutrality status from the United Nations three times. She noted the country's efforts to strengthen peace and trust in the international arena, and also emphasized the importance of the work carried out in Turkmenistan to ensure equitable social development.

In conclusion, Gulmanova emphasized the importance of strengthening multilateral inter-parliamentary ties to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The head of the national parliament invited representatives of the Inter-Parliamentary Union to take part in international events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
