On the morning of September 24, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the Ashgabat Equestrian Complex. There, the Hero-Arkadag familiarized himself with the preparations for the celebration of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day, a significant event in the life of the country, as well as the ongoing modernization of the complex.

Currently, the Ashgabat Equestrian Complex is undergoing thorough preparations to mark the 34th anniversary of the nation’s independence. As a result of the modernization, the complex has acquired a unique appearance. Its entire infrastructure has been upgraded in line with modern standards and high environmental requirements.

Inquiring about the progress of the work, the Hero-Arkadag emphasized the importance of ensuring a high organizational level for the ceremonial events and festive horse races being planned.

Highlighting that environmental concerns must remain a constant priority, the Hero-Arkadag offered recommendations on how to harmoniously integrate green spaces with the surrounding facilities.

He also stressed the need for comprehensive cultural programming for the upcoming holiday horse races. These festive performances should serve as a kind of anthem celebrating the renowned Akhal-Teke horses, which hold a special place in the life of the Turkmen people.

The Hero-Arkadag, mounting a horse named Khanbeg, rode it onto a designated track and completed a circle. He also examined the condition of the racetracks and their sand surfaces.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty underscored the importance of discussions among the country’s seyises (horse trainers) and breeders regarding the modernization of racetracks, and he provided relevant recommendations to the responsible officials.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, also visited the Akhal-Teke Horse Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, where modernization efforts are currently underway.

Upon reviewing the ongoing work at the complex, the Hero-Arkadag stressed the need to ensure all conditions are met for the effective training of horses and the successful work of horse breeders.
