Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with representatives of the South Korean company Koreуa Meditech Co. Ltd and the Japanese Sumitomo to discuss the construction and equipping of medical cluster facilities in the city of Arkadag. This was reported by TDH.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

During the talks, the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the Saglyk State Program were discussed. Representatives of the South Korean company, which has significant experience in the construction and equipping of medical institutions, presented a report on their activities in Turkmenistan. The head of the Japanese company Sumitomo expressed readiness to work together on the project and emphasized the importance of partnership with Turkmenistan.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan has significant natural resources, including environmentally friendly natural gas, which can be used in the production of medicines. He also emphasized the success of the existing production of iodine products and the procurement of licorice root for medical purposes, the products of which meet international environmental standards.
