Studio A24 has begun negotiations to buy the rights to remake the 1988 action movie "Bloodsport". This was reported by Hollywood insider Jeff Snyder.

The film company, known for its independent projects, intends to attract an experienced director specializing in action films to the project.

The main role is planned to be given to a young actor. In the original film, it was played by 27-year-old Jean-Claude Van Damme. His participation in the remake has not yet been announced.

The project is in the early stages of development.
