A new provision on electronic visas has been added to the Law of Turkmenistan "On Migration" following the adoption of relevant amendments published in the official press.

 

The new electronic document will be issued through the information system of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and will allow foreign citizens to enter, stay in, and transit through the country.

 

The Law of Turkmenistan "On Migration" has also been supplemented with the following paragraphs:

 

"When applying for electronic visas, there is no requirement to arrange and issue invitations for arrival in Turkmenistan.

 

A notification on the issuance of an invitation in electronic form or the issuance of an electronic visa through the information system of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan shall be sent, in written or electronic form, to diplomatic missions, consular offices of Turkmenistan abroad, and to the bodies of the Migration Service of Turkmenistan."
