On August 11, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov received the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Austria Wolfgang Oliver Kutscher on a courtesy visit. The parties discussed the current situation in the region and shared their views on issues on the regional agenda.

 

The Turkmen side outlined the main priorities of the country's foreign policy in the regional context, emphasizing its commitment to the principles of neutrality, good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation.

 

The diplomats paid special attention to large international energy projects, including TAPI and TAP. These initiatives were noted not only for their role in diversifying the export routes of Turkmen energy resources, but also for their contribution to strengthening regional energy security and connectivity.

 

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their common interest in maintaining active diplomatic interaction and further strengthening friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Austria.
