On August 5, a meeting was held between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov and Deputy Foreign Minister of Estonia for Economic and Development Affairs Mariin Ratnik in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
The parties assessed the current situation and prospects for developing partnership between the two countries in areas of mutual interest. They expressed interest in promoting trade and economic ties, in particular in the field of digitalization.
The diplomats reviewed cooperation within international structures, in particular the UN and the EU. Mariin Ratnik stressed the importance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The parties also exchanged views on regional and international issues. They pointed out the importance of Turkmenistan's peaceful neutral policy. In this context, preparations for the International Forum of Peace and Trust scheduled for December 2025 in Ashgabat were noted.
