On August 5, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Foreign Minister of Georgia Maki Bochorishvili. The parties paid special attention to the possibilities of intensifying trade and economic partnership, including in the areas of transport, logistics, and energy.
The diplomats noted the importance of continuing the practice of bilateral visits at the highest and high levels, as well as the importance of holding regular consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
The ministers also pointed out the high level of political dialogue and constructive interaction within international organizations. The participation of a high-ranking Georgian delegation in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries is another confirmation of close partnership within the UN.
The parties emphasized the importance of cultural and humanitarian cooperation and expressed their intention to continue fruitful interaction based on the principles of respect and trust.
