On August 7, a meeting was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow) Alenka Suhadolnik.

The parties discussed key aspects of Turkmen-Slovenian relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. They also noted the positive nature of cooperation within the framework of international structures, in particular, the UN. The importance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries was emphasized.

The Slovenian side particularly noted the high organizational level of the conference and thanked for the hospitality. It invited the Turkmen side to participate in the Strategic Forum in Bled, one of the segments of which will be devoted to Central Asia.

The participants of the meeting spoke in favor of continuing active cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
