A large-scale archaeological exhibition dedicated to historical discoveries in Turkmenistan will be held in Rome, the capital of Italy. Vice Premier Bahar Seyidova reported during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, according to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The exhibition in Rome will be titled "The Flourishing of Cultures: Bronze Age Margiana and the Parthian Kingdom. Archaeological Discoveries in Turkmenistan." The initiative for this exhibition was proposed by the President of Turkmenistan during the first "Central Asia – Italy" summit held in Astana.
Artifacts uncovered during archaeological excavations at historical and cultural sites in Turkmenistan are being used in preparation for the exhibition. After thorough study, these findings are transferred to the collections of the country’s state museums.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the vital role of museums in promoting the rich spiritual heritage and cultural legacy of the Turkmen people worldwide. The Vice Premier was instructed to continue efforts to identify cultural heritage, study national values on a scientific basis, and ensure their preservation for future generations.
