The Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025) officially opened in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on September 18. More than 800 international and local delegates attended to explore the country's investment climate. This was reported by a Takyk correspondent.
The forum began with a high-level plenary session on "Turkmenistan's Investment Attractiveness as a Factor in Strategic Effectiveness," chaired by Dmitry Shlapachenko, UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan. World Bank (WB) Executive Director Beatriz Luz Mather Mallor addressed the session, and UN Assistant Secretary-General Rabab Fatima spoke online.
Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mammetguly Astanagulov presented the government's strategic approach to attracting foreign investment and promoting sustainable economic growth.
The two-day forum will include an expanded session on key economic sectors. The organizers of TIF 2025 are the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, with the Turkmen Congress acting as a co-organizer.
