This November, the international spotlight will once again be on Ashgabat, where the International Conference on Development of Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Industries of Turkmenistan (CIET 2025), the country’s flagship event for cross-sector innovation, investment and cooperation, will take place.

Strong Foundations for Development

The first CIET 2024 conference, held in Ashgabat from 3-5 November, made a strong impression, bringing together over 450 delegates, 50+ speakers and 400 participants to discuss new opportunities in the construction, industrial and energy sectors, with a focus on smart cities, renewable energy, infrastructure development and new investment projects.

Promoting a Smart Economy

CIET 2024 focused on sustainable development and the implementation of smart technologies. Key topics included the second phase of the Arkadag smart city, renewable energy solutions, public-private partnerships and industrial modernization. Panelists also touched on the expansion of manufacturing, from cement and ceramics to clean energy infrastructure facilities across the country. Discussions focused on training qualified young people to build a circular economy.
