On August 6, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Prime Minister of Nepal Sharma Oli, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The head of state noted the great importance that Turkmenistan attaches to the development of friendly and mutually beneficial relations with various countries, including Asian countries. At the same time, our country's readiness to use all opportunities to strengthen political, diplomatic, trade and economic ties with Nepal was confirmed.
Particular emphasis was placed on the enormous potential that both countries have for increasing cooperation in such areas as economics, energy, agriculture, healthcare, education and scientific research.
Noting the importance of developing cultural ties between the peoples of the two countries, stimulating interaction in the arts and creativity, Serdar Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to support constructive initiatives to deepen cooperation with Nepal.
At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors wished each other good health, prosperity and success in responsible state activities.
