President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree in honor of International Women's Day to award about 253 Turkmen women who have given birth to and raised eight or more children with the honorary title of "Ene Mahri" ("Maternal Tenderness"), TDH reports.

The document was signed "for the enormous merits of dear mothers in shaping the younger generation as healthy and inspired people devoted to the fatherland and courageous people."

The presidential decree notes that the work carried out by Turkmen women to preserve the sacred family hearth, raise sons and daughters in accordance with traditional national traditions and customs, and strengthen the unity of society is invaluable.
