President of Turkmenistan Receives Congratulatory Letter from Russian Counterpart

On September 22, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory letter to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of his birthday.

"The relations between Russia and Turkmenistan are of a deep strategic partnership nature, and you personally make a significant contribution to their development. We will undoubtedly continue our active joint work on pressing issues of the bilateral and international agenda for the benefit of our friendly nations, in the interests of ensuring security and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian region," Putin noted.

The Russian head of state wished his Turkmen counterpart good health, happiness, and further success in his public service.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov also received birthday congratulations from Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, and Governor of Russia's Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin.
