On September 18, speaking at the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2025), Turkmenistan's Minister of Finance and Economy Mammetguly Astanagulov outlined the extensive potential and prospects for integrating the country's transport sector into the regional logistics system. This was reported by Takyk correspondent.

Turkmenistan is located on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, which connects Europe and China. This corridor has attracted increasing attention in recent years.

The minister noted that the country is home to the eastern branch of the North-South transport corridor, which runs along the Caspian Sea coast and serves as an alternative to other routes.

"By developing its infrastructure, Turkmenistan intends to occupy a key position at the intersection of regional trade routes. Our automobile transport has been significantly modernized, and modern highways are being built through key transit routes. The third phase of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabad highway is scheduled for completion this year. This will connect Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and beyond," Mammetguly Astanagulov said.
