On July 21, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atakhalliyev and hyakims of the velayats, at which the state of affairs in the agricultural sector and regions of the republic was considered.

The heads of the velayat administrations reported on the pace of seasonal campaigns in the region.

Agrotechnical work is being carried out on the fields freed up after the harvest. At the same time, measures are being taken to prepare agricultural machinery and units that will be used in the upcoming sowing season.

Along with this, care continues in the cotton fields. This work is carried out in full compliance with agricultural technology standards. At the same time, in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, agrotechnical care is carried out for rice crops, and in the Mary velayat - for sugar beets. In the regions, potato, vegetable and melon crops are consistently planted and harvested.

The hyakims also informed the head of state about the progress of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities scheduled for opening this year.

After hearing the reports, the head of state noted the importance of proper implementation of agricultural measures on agricultural lands, as well as organized preparation for laying the harvest of agricultural crops for the coming year. In this regard, specific instructions were given to the heads of regional administrations.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered to keep under constant control the quality and timing of construction of buildings scheduled for commissioning this year.

Summarizing the information presented, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector as a basic industry that ensures food abundance in the domestic market. In this regard, the head of state noted the need for its further development by expanding the scale of innovation and efficient use of resources. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was given relevant instructions.
