Automaker FAW Toyota has significantly reduced prices on a number of models in China. For example, the new Land Cruiser Prado 250 has become $2,800 cheaper, while the Toyota Sienna minivan, Crown Kluger crossover, and Avalon sedan have become $3,600 cheaper.
The most noticeable discounts were received by two popular crossovers: the Corolla Cross has become $5,000 cheaper and now costs from $12,300, while the Wildlander (analogous to the RAV4) has become $6,000 cheaper, with a new starting price of $17,800.
In addition, buyers of hybrid versions will be able to receive a lifetime warranty on the electric motor and battery.
The price reduction coincided with the publication of January statistics: FAW Toyota sold 60,032 cars in China.
