Turkmen chess player Saparmyrat Atabayev won a convincing victory in the Futures category at the II International Chess Tournament "Al-Biruni", which was held from February 2 to 12 in Tashkent.

According to the results of nine rounds, Atabayev showed the best result among ten participants in his category, ahead of all rivals. For his victory, the Turkmen athlete was awarded the tournament cup and a cash prize of $3,500.
