The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Qatar, Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov, held a meeting with Qatar's Minister of Commerce, Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, to discuss the development of bilateral trade relations between the two countries.

 

The talks took place in Doha, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Qatar. During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat presented Turkmenistan’s initiative to declare 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust."

 

Ambassador Seyitmammedov emphasized the key role of this initiative in strengthening global cooperation. He also informed the Qatari side about upcoming international events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

 

The Turkmen side stressed that permanent neutrality is a fundamental principle of the country's foreign policy.
