The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania, Annamammed Annaev, held a meeting with Doru-Claudian Frunzulică, Vice President of the Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade, to discuss preparations for the 8th session of the Turkmen-Romanian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation, scheduled for autumn 2025 in Bucharest.

Both parties confirmed their mutual interest in deepening bilateral economic cooperation and strengthening partnerships in key areas such as investment, trade, digital transformation, and energy.

Ambassador Annaev emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to economic modernization and adherence to international investment standards. The Turkmen side invited Romanian businesses to participate in upcoming international exhibitions, business forums, and tenders in Turkmenistan.

Frunzulică noted Turkmenistan’s potential for energy-intensive industries and expressed strong interest in diversifying cooperation. The Romanian side shared updated investment materials for Turkmen entrepreneurs considering medium- and long-term projects.

The meeting reaffirmed the desire of both countries to strengthen strategic economic ties and establish a sustainable business partnership.
