The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium Sapar Palvanov discussed with the marketing manager of the English-language publication The Brussels Times Ilham Rzayev the prospects for cooperation in the field of media and the implementation of joint information projects. The issue of partnership was discussed during the meeting.
The Ambassador acquainted his interlocutor with the main areas of activity of the diplomatic mission and emphasized the importance of public diplomacy as an important tool for promoting Turkmenistan's foreign policy. He noted that the Embassy actively interacts with representatives of the media and the expert community, organizing regular briefings and meetings aimed at disseminating objective information about the country's domestic and foreign policy.
As part of the dialogue, the parties discussed the possibility of preparing thematic publications reflecting the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan, its initiatives in the field of peace and sustainable development, unique historical features and modern achievements. Particular attention was paid to the policy of permanent neutrality, commitment to the principles of good neighborliness and Turkmenistan's active work within the UN.
Following the meeting, mutual interest in strengthening cooperation was expressed. The Ambassador confirmed the embassy's readiness to assist international media in promoting reliable information about Turkmenistan and its foreign policy agenda.
