Turkmen Ambassador met in Belgium with Chinese students

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium hosted a meeting with a group of students from the People's Republic of China who arrived in Brussels as part of a summer educational program. The delegation included 27 people from 9 provinces of China - students of prestigious schools and universities, including Beijing Jiaotong University, Sichuan University of Foreign Studies and others. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Belgium and the EU Sapar Palvanov warmly welcomed the guests, speaking about the country's foreign policy priorities based on the principles of permanent neutrality, peacekeeping initiatives, as well as the role of Turkmenistan in the development of transport diplomacy and cooperation with the European Union and China. Particular attention was paid to the historical heritage of the Great Silk Road, the importance of Turkmen cities as key hubs of ancient caravan routes. The guests were presented with national products, jewelry, elements of traditional clothing, and as a sign of friendship, each was presented with a Turkmen skullcap - takhya. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, arousing a keen interest among students in the history, culture and modern development of Turkmenistan.
