The delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by the country’s Ambassador to Russia, Esen Aydogdyev, took part in the 106th meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The meeting was held in Moscow on July 18, 2025, and covered a wide range of issues concerning economic cooperation among CIS member states.
Participants discussed draft documents related to cooperation in ensuring regional energy security, the peaceful use of nuclear energy, pricing in construction activities, forestry, and the forest industry.
Also on the agenda were issues regarding the implementation in 2024 of the Action Plan for the first phase of the CIS Economic Development Strategy for the period up to 2030, which covers the years 2021–2025.
The next meeting of the CIS Economic Council is scheduled to take place on September 5, 2025, in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
