Turkmenistan to Prepare Memorandum of Cooperation with the International Tennis Federation

Chairman of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan and Vice President of the Asian Tennis Federation, Eziz Dovletov, met with the President of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), David Haggerty, on the sidelines of the Wimbledon tournament in London to discuss the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding between the national federation and the international organization. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Golden Age."

The upcoming document is aimed at strengthening cooperation with the major international sports body, which unites 213 national tennis organizations.

The Memorandum will outline concrete steps for integrating Turkmen athletes into the global tennis community, increasing the number of professional coaches in the country, facilitating specialist exchanges, and involving international experts in the training of the Turkmen national team.

The ITF President emphasized the great potential of Turkmen coaches. In this regard, it is worth noting that from August 4 to 15, a regional ITF Level 2 coaching seminar will be held at the Tennis Complex of the Asian Regional Training Center located in the Olympic Village in Ashgabat.

ITF Manager Tim Jones also took part in the meeting and highlighted the achievements of Turkmen tennis players this year.
