Turkmenistan’s junior tennis players competed in the recently concluded ITF World Junior Championship preliminary qualifying tournament in the Asia-Oceania zone for girls under 14, held in Isa Town, Bahrain, according to “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

According to the source, the Turkmenistan team secured a top-5 finish among 18 participating teams. The squad included schoolgirls from Ashgabat: Aylar Kakabayeva, Nazli Hudaygulyyeva, and Sahra Garahanova.

This result marks the best performance by Turkmenistan’s female tennis players in the history of their participation in such competitions. The athletes prepared for the tournament under the guidance of their personal coaches and the captain of women’s national team of Turkmenistan Yuri Rogusskiy.
