In Turkmenistan’s capital, the winners of the city round of the annual televised amateur performers contest “Ýaňlan, Diýarym!”, held within the framework of the competition for the President of Turkmenistan’s “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry” award, have been announced.
The city round was organized in the picturesque surroundings of the “White City Ashgabat” monument by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, and the Ashgabat city administration.
Performers presented a wide variety of musical genres before a large audience — from folk songs to original and foreign compositions. Many participants performed their own creations. Musical pieces were delivered both with instrumental accompaniment and a cappella.
A highly professional jury composed of cultural figures and recognized People’s Artists of Turkmenistan evaluated not only the vocal abilities of the contestants but also their artistry, originality, and stage presence.
As a result, the winners were Ayina Bayramgeldiyeva, a teacher at Secondary School No. 27 of Ashgabat specializing in foreign languages, and capital resident Remezan Goshaev. All participants received commemorative gifts from the organizing committee.
The “Ýaňlan, Diýarym!” contest serves as an important platform for uncovering the creative potential of young talents and promoting folk and pop music among the youth. The final stages of the competition are traditionally dedicated to the celebration of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day.
