On August 6, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran Farzaneh Sadegh Malwajerd, who arrived in the Avaza National Tourist Zone to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

 

The interlocutors considered priority areas of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres.

 

As co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Cooperation, the ministers discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda, and also considered the possibilities for further development of cultural and humanitarian partnership.
