On September 1, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) hosted a conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.

The conference was attended by the staff of the Consulate, the head of the Astrakhan regional public organization for the preservation and development of Turkmen culture, students studying in the Russian Federation, teachers and students of the MCOU "School named after Makhtumkuli Fragi" in the village of Funtovo, Astrakhan Region.

During the conference, the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation Gadam Ilamanov warmly congratulated the youth on the beginning of the new academic year and spoke about the importance of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the main achievements and successes of Turkmenistan over the past 34 years, as well as the importance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

F. Kadyrova, head of the Astrakhan regional public organization for the preservation and development of Turkmen culture, R. Shadzhiev, teacher of the Makhtumkuli Fragi school, and G. Nepesova, a 2nd-year student of the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev, also spoke at the conference. At the same time, pupils of the Makhtumkuli Fragi school read poems of the great poet in the Turkmen language.

During the conference, on behalf of the Consulate, letters of gratitude and memorable gifts were presented to students, pupils and teachers of the Makhtumkuli Fragi school in the village of Funtovo, Astrakhan Region, for their active participation in the ceremonial events organized by the Consulate of Turkmenistan.
