On September 25, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital communication. The meeting reviewed several issues related to the country's socio-economic development.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree pardoning 225 convicted citizens on the occasion of the country's Independence Day.
Then, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova, was given the floor. She provided information on the ongoing work to strengthen the legal foundations of the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country and to modernize national legislation.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that developing new draft laws that meet the requirements of the times is one of the key tasks, and stressed the importance of continuing work in this direction.
Next, the Deputy Prime Ministers presented reports on the work carried out in their respective sectors, the results achieved, measures being implemented to further develop the national economy’s branches, fulfillment of previous instructions, foreign policy, international relations, upcoming events, and preparations underway for them.
After listening to the reports, the Head of State gave specific instructions and guidance to relevant officials regarding various sectors of the national economy, upcoming activities, development priorities, and international cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the President addressed the members of the Government, noting the upcoming 34th anniversary of the country's Independence. He stated that Independence is a sacred holiday for the Turkmen people and the state, and took the opportunity to sincerely congratulate the meeting participants and all citizens on the 34th anniversary of Independence.
Government members also sincerely congratulated the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.
Several other important matters of state significance were also reviewed during the meeting, and appropriate decisions were made.
