The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant state authorities of Turkmenistan carried out the necessary work to grant residency permits to 142 individuals. Among them are citizens of seven countries and representatives of 15 nationalities. This was reported on September 25 at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov.
Based on this, the Deputy Prime Minister presented a draft document to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for consideration, proposing to grant residency in Turkmenistan to the aforementioned foreign nationals in honor of the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence.
After hearing the report, the head of state emphasized that Turkmenistan is conducting effective work aimed at ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms, and signed the Resolution granting residency to 142 individuals.
According to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, as of today, residency in Turkmenistan has been granted to 5,152 foreign citizens and stateless persons. Relevant ministries and sectoral departments of the country continue their work in this direction.
