On August 28, a meeting of the delegation of the Balkan velayat of Turkmenistan headed by hakim Hodjamyrat Ashirmyradov with the akim of the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan Nurdaulet Kilybay took place in Aktau. The parties discussed the program of strategic partnership for 2025-2027 and key areas of interregional cooperation.
Nurdaulet Kilybay emphasized that the Mangistau region is ready to provide comprehensive support for the development of cooperation with the Balkan velayat. He noted the high potential for the implementation of joint projects in the oil and gas industry, logistics, agriculture, as well as in the cultural and tourism spheres.
One of the proposals was the restoration of a 5-day visa-free regime for residents of border regions, which, according to the parties, will help strengthen humanitarian, cultural and economic ties.
