The 11th round of Turkmen-American political consultations was held in Washington

The eleventh round of annual bilateral political consultations between Turkmenistan and the United States of America was held in Washington on August 20.

During the consultations, the Turkmen side was headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, and the American side was headed by the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs John Mark Pommersheim.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-American relations, and exchanged views on pressing issues on the international agenda.

The interlocutors reaffirmed their commitment to the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the United States, including cooperation in the field of security, expansion of trade and economic ties, as well as the intensification of partnership within the framework of the regional diplomatic platform "C5+1".

The issues of implementing bilateral projects with leading American companies were also discussed, and prospects for expanding their investment opportunities in Turkmenistan were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized that regular bilateral consultations serve as an effective mechanism for the further development of Turkmen-American cooperation.
