On August 7, on the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tashkent) Viktor Borecky.
The diplomats assessed the current level of cooperation between the two countries and discussed priority areas both bilaterally and within the framework of international structures.
The parties noted the achievements of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) and agreed to continue constructive cooperation on international platforms.
Borecky expressed the interest of the Slovak side in participating in the International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in December this year in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
