On August 9, a meeting was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov and Minister Delegate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, International Cooperation and Chadians Abroad of the Republic of Chad Fatima Aljine Garfa.
The Turkmen side thanked the delegation of the Republic of Chad for participating in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries (LLDC3). The parties noted the importance of this event in the context of promoting sustainable development and cooperation between the countries.
The interlocutors emphasized the potential for developing bilateral relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The diplomats also discussed the possibilities of participation of delegations of the two countries in events organized by Turkmenistan and the Republic of Chad this year.
In this context, the importance of the International Forum of Peace and Trust scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in December this year in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality was emphasized.
In turn, the guest invited the Turkmen side to consider the possibility of participation of representatives of Turkmenistan in events within the framework of the Chad Connection 2030 project.
The diplomats agreed to continue joint work on the development of Turkmen-Chadian relations in all areas of mutual interest.
