Turkmenistan and Slovenia to hold next round of political consultations in Ljubljana

During her visit to Slovenia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held meetings with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia for Multilateral Cooperation, Political Affairs and Development Melita Gabrič and Adviser to the President of the country on Foreign Policy Issues Damjan Bergant.

The parties discussed strengthening contacts at the highest level, developing trade and economic ties, cooperation in the field of education, as well as holding the next round of political consultations in Ljubljana.

The meetings noted that Turkmenistan and Slovenia have significant potential for expanding cooperation in various areas, including energy, transport, education and cultural exchanges.

The parties also confirmed their intention to actively interact on international platforms, including in UN structures and within the framework of the EU-Central Asia regional partnership.

Particular attention was paid to organizing events with the participation of business circles of the two countries.

Byashimova invited the Slovenian side to take part in the international forum of peace and trust, which will be held in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025.
