On October 13, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Oguljennet Berdiliyeva, Chairperson of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, participated in the 2025 Global Women's Summit in Beijing.
In her speech, Berdiliyeva emphasized that ensuring women's rights is a priority of state policy in Turkmenistan. Under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, systematic work is underway to create equal opportunities for women in education, healthcare, science, economics, and public administration.
The Women's Union of Turkmenistan, as the largest public organization, actively participates in the implementation of national programs aimed at enhancing the role of women in society, promoting gender equality, and strengthening the institution of the family.
She noted the support for Turkmen women entrepreneurs, the initiation of projects in rural areas, assistance to young professionals in their careers and education, and the development of international cooperation.
