The primary focus of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the UN is ensuring international peace and security. As a permanently neutral state, Turkmenistan is ready to implement practical steps aimed at creating an atmosphere of cooperation, stated Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the General Political Meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

The Turkmen leader noted that the current state of global realities and the nature and trends of political, economic, and social processes today objectively require a decisive shift toward coordinated cooperation between states and international organizations to create conditions for further progressive development and preserve the legal foundations that underlie the modern world order.

It is from this perspective that Turkmenistan views the main objectives of the 80th session of the General Assembly, placing great hopes on it to shape a strong, balanced, and secure global architecture, the Turkmen leader emphasized.

In this context, Serdar Berdimuhamedov assured that, recognizing its responsibility as a permanently neutral state, Turkmenistan is ready to begin implementing further practical steps aimed at creating an atmosphere of cooperation, mutual understanding, and respectful dialogue as the primary and defining condition capable of ensuring stability and sustainable development in the global and regional spheres.
