Turkmenistan plans to bring textile products to the Japanese market

From August 30 to September 3, the Turkmen delegation headed by the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Nazar Agahanov paid a working visit to the Japanese cities of Osaka and Tokyo.

During the visit, the Turkmen delegation held a number of bilateral meetings with Japanese organizations and companies operating in the field of trade and textile industry.

In Tokyo, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation, member of the board of directors and executive vice president of the ITOCHU corporation, president of the company for the production of machinery and equipment H. Tsubai. Agahanov also met with the President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) N. Ishiguro.

In Osaka, at the Turkmenistan pavilion at the World Expo 2025, the Turkmen delegation held meetings with the Deputy Secretary General of the Japan Association of EXPO 2025 M. Ichinoki, as well as with the Commissioner of the National Pavilion of Saudi Arabia, the Director of the National Pavilion of Qatar at the World Expo 2025 and representatives of Masui Co. Ltd.

As part of the above-mentioned meetings, the parties discussed the capabilities of Japanese companies in Turkmenistan, the development of export-import relations and the promotion of initiatives to enter the Japanese market for Turkmen textile products.
