"Ahal" Football Club (Turkmenistan) will face "Al-Hussein" Football Club (Jordan) in the AFC-2 (Asian Football Confederation) Champions League group stage on September 30 at the "Arkadag" stadium. At the pre-match press conference, the team coaches shared their expectations for the upcoming match.
"Al-Hussein" FC head coach Joakim Mashad, praising the beauty of Ashgabat and Arkadag, first thanked the Turkmen side for the warm welcome, high-level hospitality, and traditional Turkmen hospitality. However, in terms of sporting performance, the coach emphasized that his team is determined to win the match.
"Our team came to Turkmenistan with the goal of playing effectively and getting points. We respect Ahal – they're a very good team. I've personally studied Ahal's game; they're a team that operates very well on the field. The team has a high-quality selection of players, but we also came here to do our job, to win the game," Mashad told reporters.
"Ahal" FC head coach Eziz Annamuhammedov declared his team's determined readiness for the match against their Jordanian opponent and called on Turkmen fans to support the team.
"As expected, we prepared for this important international match. We studied our opponent's strengths and weaknesses and developed a game plan to fight accordingly. We expect the fans to be at the match. They're our 12th man, and we're counting on their support. The players are ready for the match. We hope to play fast-paced football and are thinking only about winning. We're ready to secure a victory for our fans and the entire country," Annamuhammedov said.

It's worth noting that before the start of the group stage, "Ahal" announced Eziz Annamukhammedov as head coach for the AFC Champions League 2, as Annamukhammedov holds a PRO coaching category and is part of the club's system, coaching "Ahal's" youth team.
The second-round group stage match between "Ahal" and "Al-Hussein" will take place on September 30 at "Arkadag" Stadium. Kickoff is at 6:45 PM Ashgabat time.
