Iranian cinema was born at the dawn of the 20th century; however, the true flourishing of the industry came after the Islamic Revolution of 1979, thanks to a new generation of talented filmmakers. Masters of Iranian cinema create kind and life-affirming films that have received well-deserved recognition at the international level. Young talents managed to develop a distinctive style that blends realism, poetic expression, and national authenticity — a unique cinematic voice that continues to resonate across global audiences.
