On August 25, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

The diplomats discussed bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of interaction in the international political arena.

In this context, the heads of the foreign ministries agreed to continue an active political dialogue. They noted the importance of negotiations and contacts at the level of foreign ministers in accordance with the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2025-2026, signed in Ashgabat in June this year.
