Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko paid a working visit to Turkmenistan. Following the visit, an agreement was reached with the Turkmen side to establish a "digital attaché" at the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan to promote Russian IT solutions. This was reported to a Takyk correspondent by the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat.

Currently, such specialists work in 19 countries, including China, Argentina, and Indonesia. According to the agreement, the "digital attaché" will begin working in Ashgabat this year.

"Experience from recent international trips has shown that Russian IT solutions are in high demand not only within the country but also among international partners. We intend to support this interest, and the "digital attaché" service is one of the tools for effectively promoting domestic IT projects abroad. "The appointment of such a specialist to work in Turkmenistan is a confident step toward strengthening the mutually beneficial technological partnership between our countries," Dmitry Grigorenko noted during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakyev and Minister of Communications Khadzhymyrat Khudaigulyev.

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister added that Russia has developed competitive IT technologies with high export potential. These include large language models, search engines, marketplaces, antivirus software, and biometric services.

During his working visit to Ashgabat, Dmitry Grigorenko also visited the Turkmen State Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics, where he delivered a lecture to students on the key challenges of digitalization and training specialists in this field.
