On September 22, in the United States, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States, Rabab Fatima.
The parties noted the constructive and long-standing experience of strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations and its specialized agencies across a wide range of areas.
The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to actively utilize the platform of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly to promote the decisions and initiatives developed within the framework of LLDC3, including through the organization of joint events dedicated to sustainable development issues.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their willingness to expand joint work within the UN system, contributing to the strengthening of trust, deepening of international partnerships, and the steady advancement of the global sustainable development agenda.
