Turkmenistan and Turkey expand interregional cooperation

On September 2, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey Mekan Ishangulyyev met with the Governor of the Erzurum Province of Turkey Mehmet Sekmen.

During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of interregional cooperation, including agricultural, industrial, cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres. Particular attention was paid to the intensification of interregional business ties in the field of animal husbandry.

In addition, issues of establishing sustainable contacts between business structures of the two countries, as well as prospects for participation in joint investment projects were discussed. Proposals were put forward to expand cooperation in promising areas identified on the basis of the competitive advantages of the economies of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey.

Turkmen diplomats also took part in the international Erzurum exhibition of agriculture and livestock.

The Erzurum International Fair is the largest in Turkey and one of the leading in Europe, making it a key event for networking, knowledge sharing and learning about the latest innovations in agriculture and livestock.
